You can buy an eSIM with crypto at TonMobile, the only store in our rating that lists Bitcoin and TON (Toncoin) at checkout as of 27 October 2026. You pick a country and plan, choose Bitcoin or TON as the payment method, confirm the transfer from your wallet, and install the eSIM over Wi-Fi. The other stores we track take cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and in some cases PayPal, but not crypto.

Which eSIM stores accept crypto?
TonMobile is the one eSIM store in our rating that accepts crypto. Its homepage lists Bitcoin and TON (Toncoin) next to Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus a Telegram wallet option. The App Store and Google Play listings for the TonMobile app both mention payment by bank card or crypto.
TonMobile sells travel data for 180+ countries according to its homepage, and its App Store listing describes plans for about 200 countries plus regional and global packages. You can buy in three places: the website, the mobile apps for iOS and Android, or the Telegram bot.
The large card-first stores take a different approach. Airalo lists cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay in the app and its own Airmoney balance. Holafly lists Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal. Saily, Nomad, Ubigi and Yesim also stick to cards, wallets and in some cases PayPal.
How you can pay
Checked on each store's payment page, Oct 27, 2026
Our eSIM store rating scores payment flexibility as one of several criteria, and the methodology page explains how each store is checked. If crypto is your only payment option, the choice today comes down to a single store.
What you need before paying with crypto
A crypto eSIM purchase needs three things: a funded wallet, a phone that can use the eSIM, and a Wi-Fi connection for the install. Checking all three first saves you from paying for a plan you cannot activate.
A wallet with Bitcoin or TON
Your wallet needs enough Bitcoin or TON to cover the plan price plus the network fee for the transfer. That fee goes to the blockchain, not to the store, and TonMobile does not reimburse it if you later get a refund. Telegram users can also look for the Telegram wallet option shown on the TonMobile homepage.
A compatible, unlocked phone
Apple supports eSIM on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and later models. The iPhone must not be locked to a carrier: open SettingsGeneralAbout and look for "No SIM Restrictions" next to the carrier lock field. Mainland China models are an exception, since only some recent ones support eSIM.
On Android, dialing *#06# on many phones shows an EID if the device has an eSIM. Pixel owners can find the EID under SettingsAbout phoneSIM status. Our guide on how to check eSIM support on your phone covers more models.
Wi-Fi for the install
Apple states that an iPhone must be connected to Wi-Fi or a hotspot to set up an eSIM. Some eSIM-only models in certain regions can activate without it. Install the plan at home or at the airport before you board, then switch it on after landing.
- Wallet holds enough Bitcoin or TON for the plan and the network fee
- Phone supports eSIM (iPhone XS or later, or an Android phone that shows an EID)
- Phone shows "No SIM Restrictions" or is otherwise unlocked
- Wi-Fi or a hotspot is available for the install
- You know your destination and trip length so you can pick the right plan
How to buy an eSIM with crypto, step by step
Buying an eSIM with Bitcoin or TON at TonMobile follows the store's three-step flow: open TonMobile, choose a country and plan, and install. The crypto part happens at checkout, between choosing the plan and installing it.
Open TonMobile where you prefer
Use the website, the App Store or Google Play app, or the TonMobile Telegram bot. The app lets you sign in with Telegram or Yandex ID. Our guide to buying an eSIM in Telegram walks through the bot route.
Choose a country and plan
Pick a local, regional or global package. The homepage offers quick picks for UAE, Turkey, China and Global. Prices are shown live in the store, so check the current figure there before paying.
Select Bitcoin or TON at checkout
Choose crypto instead of a card. Follow the payment instructions on screen and confirm the transfer from your wallet. Double-check the coin and the amount before you sign, because a blockchain transfer cannot be pulled back like a card charge.
Install the eSIM on Wi-Fi
TonMobile says installation takes a couple of clicks. Apple notes that activation is usually done by QR code or through the provider's app. Stay on Wi-Fi until the new line appears in your settings.
Switch to the travel line after landing
On iPhone, choose the data line in SettingsMobile ServiceMobile Data. TonMobile's terms say the package starts being used as soon as the eSIM is activated on a device, so time the activation to your trip.
Your home number stays on
Apple confirms that with a travel eSIM used only for data, the home line stays on and iMessage and FaceTime on the home number keep working. TonMobile's terms note that a plan may come without a phone number or SMS, so keep the home SIM active for texts.
Refunds and fees when you pay in crypto
TonMobile refunds crypto payments within up to 5 business days, while card refunds take up to 14 calendar days. Payment fees and blockchain fees are not reimbursed, so a refunded crypto purchase returns the plan price but not the network fee you paid to send it.
TonMobile's terms set two deadlines: the request must arrive before the package expires and no later than 180 days after purchase. Eligible cases include these:
- The device does not support eSIM.
- The network is unavailable in the declared coverage area through the provider's fault.
- The eSIM is not delivered within 4 hours of contacting support.
- Data does not work for more than 4 hours during support hours (06:00 to 23:00 UTC+2).
Instead of a refund, TonMobile may offer re-activation, a free new eSIM or an alternative local operator. Profiles deleted by the user or installed incorrectly are not refundable, which makes the Wi-Fi install step worth doing carefully.
Do not delete the profile
If the eSIM does not connect, contact TonMobile support (@mobilesuppbot in Telegram) before removing the profile from your phone. A profile deleted by the user does not qualify for a refund under TonMobile's terms.

Crypto vs card checkout: what changes
Paying with crypto at TonMobile gives a faster refund window than paying by card, but you carry the network fee and cannot reverse a transfer. Card checkout is available at every store in our rating, while crypto is available at one.
| Factor | Crypto (Bitcoin, TON) | Card (Visa, Mastercard) |
|---|---|---|
| Stores in our rating that accept it | TonMobile only | All stores |
| TonMobile refund time | Up to 5 business days | Up to 14 calendar days |
| Transfer or payment fees refunded | No (blockchain fees not reimbursed) | No (payment fees not reimbursed) |
| Reversible after sending | No | Through the store's refund process |
| Card or bank details shared with the store | No | Yes |
Pay with crypto when
- You already hold Bitcoin or TON and want to spend it
- You prefer not to share card details with an eSIM store
- You buy inside Telegram and use its wallet
- A faster refund window matters to you
Pay with a card when
- You want to compare several stores, since all of them take cards
- You want Apple Pay or Google Pay in one tap
- You would rather not pay a blockchain network fee
- You are less familiar with sending crypto
Privacy and documents
TonMobile states on its homepage that no documents are required to buy its travel eSIM. Combined with crypto checkout, a purchase does not require sharing card or bank details with the store, which is what most people mean when they search for a crypto eSIM with no KYC.
Your wallet or exchange may still have its own identity rules, separate from the eSIM store. TonMobile's app also asks you to sign in with Telegram or Yandex ID, so the account itself is linked to one of those services.
TonMobile is operated by Intermob Limited, a Hong Kong company (number 79904463), which acquired the service from Tonave Services Limited of Cyprus on 23 September 2026. The terms state that the service is not available to residents of Hong Kong.
Data only, by design
A data-only travel plan has no phone number to register. If you need calls on a local number, check the plan details first, because TonMobile's terms say a plan may come without a number or SMS. Terms like EID and data-only plan are explained in our eSIM glossary.
